How we gather personal customer data

Hertford Controls Ltd is the sole owner of the information collected on our website. We will not sell, share or rent this information to any third party. The information that customers share is used purely for the performance of our individual business communication.

We collect information from our users in the following way:

1              Enquiries Form. Here a user is requested to provide their name, title and email address.

2              Contact Us. Here a user is asked for their name, title and email address.

3              Orders. Although we have no on-line order form, we collect and record the data provided on our customers’ orders. All information contained in our customer’s orders is treated confidentially and used for the performance of the immediate contract.

4              Other Emails. Upon receipt of an order or enquiry we will communicate our order confirmation or quotation by email. We occasionally may send website and service update emails. We will communicate with the user via email or phone for services relating to orders or their account.

5              General commercial questions and technical support by email. The enquirer volunteers a name, an email address and information for the purposes of answering the questions.

How we use this data:

The information collected, from whatever source and by whatever method, is used in the following ways:

To enable our customers to receive quotations related to the products we offer.

To allow us to fulfill orders or provide associated information.

To contact customers with billing requests or information relating to financial transactions.

To record and monitor our performance for the purposes of improving our service to customers.

All information contained in our customer’s orders and correspondence is treated confidentially. It is used solely for the performance of the business between us.
